The Jeujepen hill was considered a sacred place by the Selk'nam natives, since it was the natural habitat of the guanaco, their main source of food. In this area, hunting was forbidden.
Today this place stands out for having one of the most impressive panoramic views of Lake Fagnano and its surroundings.
Located within the Río Valdéz Multipurpose Provincial Reserve, it is accessed by taking Provincial Route 27, at the entrance to Laguna Aguas Blancas. Following this road up to a signposted fork, turn left and go along a narrow 2 km stretch up to the parking lot of the place. There you will find the viewpoint, which offers a panoramic view of Lake Fagnano, the surrounding forests, the mountains and the town of Tolhuin.
In its surroundings there are meadows and peat bogs, which drain towards the Laguna del Indio, and others towards the lake. The entire area around this natural area is a native forest that in recent years is in the process of recovery.
The environment presents the ideal environment to enjoy nature tourism, with the Valdéz River and its waters suitable for sport fishing, and different areas for recreation and even trekking, being able to access by this way to the Bridges Pass that communicates the north coast of Lake Fagnano with the Beagle Channel.
During the winter season it is recommended to verify the state of the roads before entering them.
