The End of the World Station, located 8 kilometers west of Ushuaia, is the starting point of this tour.  To get there, you can take public transportation or hire a transfer service from the city downtown.
On board the train you will travel along an old path used by the inmates of the Ushuaia prison more than 70 years ago, when they collected firewood for the town. During the 7 kilometers of the trip, you can see peat bogs, forests of lengas and ñires, and the Macarena waterfall, a place where passengers can get off the train to go up to a panoramic point. The tour ends at the borders of the National Park.
The vintage locomotives that make this tour have been specially redesigned and have carriages with large windows and an individual audio guide system in seven languages.
This tour is available in both summer and winter.
